Shudufhadzo Musida, our current Miss South Africa has proven that dreams really can become a reality when you take a chance. Want to learn all about her style secrets? Read this.

Fun fact

Shudufhadzo’s title as Miss South Africa 2020 at the age of 24 is nothing short of a big deal. Although we can’t help but be proud of her, our beauty pageant winner is also an academic with a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pretoria. She’s also in the process of completing her Honours Degree in Public Relations at the University of Witswatersrand.

How she glows

Shudufhadzo likes to keep her skincare routine simple. She’s been open about how Nimue Skin Technology has been a big part of her skincare journey. She also believes that self-care is more about doing things with love, such as a face mask now and again, a hot bath, a good book and a moment to herself to connect with her thoughts.

Steal her style

Miss SA loves to mix up traditional and modern wear in a chic, effortless way. Her style includes everything from dresses to skirts and head wraps, and she plays around a lot with prints and colours.

Why she’s a Flame

Body positivity is something that I’ve been learning/working on since the beginning of 2018 after a bad mental breakdown. For years body dysmorphia and self-image issues governed my life, how I ate (if I ate at all), how I saw myself, and it worsened my mental health issues.”

We love Shudufhadzo’s honesty when it comes to opening up about mental health issues. Not only did our beautiful Miss SA publicly share her personal experience, but she’s doing a lot to help those who are struggling with mental health issues. She’s also an advocate for mental health awareness and the educational and economic empowerment of children and women. We love to see it!

If you didn’t know much about our current Miss SA, we really hope this has shed some light on who she really is and highlighted some of the things that are closest to her heart. More than that, we really hope you’re inspired to do what you love and prioritise your mental health at all times.
