The summer holidays are a great time to unwind with friends and have a good time after the long academic year. In case you’re wondering what you can get up to with your squad, here are 5 fun activities that you can enjoy.
This can be a lot of fun to do with friends, even if you won’t see them around Christmas time. Each of you can pick out a squad member’s name raffle style, and buy or make that person a small, thoughtful gift. You can create rules to make it interesting, for example, gifts have to be the person’s favourite colour or they have to be handmade — have fun with it. On the day you exchange gifts, they have to be laid out randomly and each recipient must guess who their gift is from.
Create a memory book
This can be a fantastic way to bond with your mates, especially if you’re going off to university or different schools next year. You can buy a hardcover book and fill it up with photographs and other small memorable things collected over the holiday. Each of you can take turns writing about the memory and you can all look at it and have a laugh at the end of the holidays.
Take the Red Bus tour
The red bus tour is an exciting way to get to know your city and make new memories with your friends. The bus offers day passes at rates specific to every city, and you get to stop at different places, learn fun facts and enjoy the scenery.
Go to the amusement park
Everyone loves rollercoasters, right? We can’t think of a better way to enjoy a day out with your besties than to hit the amusement park. Nothing beats an entire day filled with ice-cream, cotton candy and nonstop adventure.
Take an art class
You don’t have to be the next Picasso to enjoy an art class. You and your mates could take up pottery, painting or sculpting classes in your area. If you do struggle to find one in your area, you can speak to your local community centre to create one of your own.
You don’t have to go on vacation to have a good time, these activities will have you and your friends active and entertained throughout the holiday season, no matter your budget.
